Write a Book in a Day is a fun, creative and collaborative competition for students in years 5 to 12. Teams of up to ten students are given just twelve hours to write and illustrate a book from start to finish.
The Kids’ Cancer Project is responsible for the administering the competition. The charity has contributed tens of millions of dollars to scientific research projects to help children with many types of cancer. Right now, the charity is funding 35 medical research projects across 22 institutes Australia-wide.
Beldon primary School have been involved in this wonderful competition since 2014 and we have just completed another exciting day of creativity. With two teams entered it was up to the lucky chosen students to show us their skills, which they did, producing two excellent books. It was a very rewarding day for everyone involved and we look forward to the final judge’s decision sometime in November.
